Almena Resident, Forrest "Jim" Ruth, passed away, peacefully in his home, on Aug. 29, 2023, at the age of 72.
Forrest James Ruth was born on June 21, 1951, in Thornton, Colo., to his parents Forrest and Opal (Brown) Ruth.
He was married to Marla (Miller) Ruth on Oct. 26, 1987, in Norton.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Forrest and Opal Ruth.
Survivors include his wife Marla Ruth of Almena, sons Jeremy Ruth and wife Joni of Kearney, Neb., and Troy Ruth of Almena, daughter Sammye Clark and husband Andrew of Georgetown, Texas, stepsons Christopher Wentz of Beaumont, Calif., and Erik Wentz of Cheyenne, Wyo., sister Shirley Moore of Orlando Fla., as well as nine grandchildren: Camile, Jamie, Tahpanga, Hunter, Alura, Ella, Charlye, Martin, and Tommy and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sept. 9, 2023, at the Almena Community Building in Almea.
