Harley C. Hillery, age 71, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin, Kansas. He was born on March 30, 1952, in Scott City, Kansas, the son of Harley Clifford & Patricia Mae Stevens Hillery. A lifetime resident of Lakin, Kansas, he worked at various feed yards and farms including Brookover Cattle Company.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas, and attended the Assembly Of God Church in Lakin, Kansas. Harley attended Scott City schools through his freshman year and later attained his GED. In 1973 he joined the US Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge.
His survivors include his Mother - Patricia Hillery of Oakley, Kansas, Two Sisters - Garee & Clifton Geist-Smith of Scott City, Kansas, Joy & Jay Haverfield of Colby, Kansas, One Brother - Lee & Michelle Hillery of Winona, Kansas, Ten Nieces & Nephews, Nine Great Nieces & Nephews and One Great Great Nephew.
He was preceded in death by His Father - Clifford Hillery.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Russell Springs Cemetery in Russell Springs, Kansas.
