Glen Armbruster

Glen Armbruster, age 82, of Hays, Kansas, died Monday, June 20, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society – Hays.  He was born on February 12, 1940, in Trego County to John and Mary (Gassner) Armbruster. 

In 1961, he met and married Helen “Babe” Groff in Ellis.  Glen, a farmer by trade, also worked in the oil patch as a roughneck for several companies.  He was a cattleman, a skilled metal craftsman, and a master welder.  Pinochle was his game of choice, and he loved his dogs.

He is survived by his wife: Helen; sons: Glenn ‘Todd’ (Lora) Armbruster of Hays; Micah and fiancée (Aundi) Armbruster of Denver; daughter: Sonja (Dennis) Ferris of Hays; six grandchildren: Zachariah; Cassandra; Candra; Donovan; Isabelle; and Lila; and six great grandchildren: Camdyn; Prisayus; Everleigh; Draxton; Dylan; and Rowan.

Memorial services will be at 1 PM on Saturday, July 2nd, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1112 Canterbury Drive. The service will be video streamed and the link can be requested at 845-309-5343.
