Sylvia – Hilda Flores, 66, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2023 in Sylvia, Ks, surrounded by her family.
She was born November 21, 1956 in La Pastoria, Zacatecas, Mexico, the daughter of Jose and Soledad “Chole” Rojas Acevedo. Hilda moved from Los Angeles, CA to Kansas in 1987 and was a restaurant owner.
She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Spearville.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and going to the casino. Her home was always open to others and she loved being around family and friends.
On February 2, 1980, she married Jose Flores in Los Angeles, CA. He survives.
Other survivors include mother, Soledad “Chole” Acevedo, Phelan, CA; five sons, Adrian (Crystal) Flores, Spring, TX, Fabian (Jenny) Flores, Reston, VA, Damian (Diana) Flores, Chicago, IL, Gustavo (Katholeen) Flores, Hanston, KS, Jorge Flores, Derby, KS; daughter, Kristina Flores, (Josh Feinberg), Spring, TX; three brothers, Martin Acevedo, Bloomington, CA, Juan (Marilu) Acevedo, Victorville, CA, Jose Angel (Lia) Acevedo, Whittier, CA; two sisters, Maria (Abdon) Carillo, Bloomington, CA, Rosario (Froilan) DeCasas, Phelan, CA; 11 grandchildren, Audrina, Austin, Auri, Yasmine, Fabian, Xavier, Caitlin, Ava, Emery, Kaden and Mia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Acevedo, and two brothers, Moises Acevedo and Juan Manuel Acevedo.
Vigil and rosary service will be 7 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Spearville, KS. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the church with Father John Forkuoh presiding. Cremation will follow the service.

La precideieron en su muerte de su padre, Jose Acevedo y dos hermanos, Moises Acevedo y Juan Manuel Acevedo.
La vigilia y el rosario serán a las 7:00 p.m., Viernes, 8 de Septiembre, 2023 a Iglesia Católica de San Juan Bautista, Spearville, KS. La misa fúnebre será 10:30 a.m., Sábado, 9 de Septiembre, 2023 a la iglesia, oficiado por Padre John Forkuoh. La cremacíon seguirá el servicio.
