Patricia Darlene Everhart of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away from this life to begin her eternal life in Heaven on November 3, 2022, at the age of 81.
Patricia was born in Hays, Kansas, on October 12, 1941, the daughter of John A. Degenhardt and Albina R. (Hepp) Degenhardt. She grew up in Kansas and attended Girls Catholic High School in Hays, graduating with the Class of 1959. Ms. Everhart had a long and rewarding career managing the department of pediatrics billing office of The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She celebrated her retirement in 2018 after many years of dedicated service.
Patricia was a nurturing, faithful, and loving person with a true servant’s heart. For over 50 years, she was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Moore. Throughout this time, she sang in choir, baked for funeral meals, and was in Music Ministry, which ministered to residents in various nursing homes, hospitals and prisons. She spent hours in prayer for her parish and was a prayer warrior for the parish prayer and rosary groups. She loved reading her prayer books and discussing the Word of God with her family and friends. Patricia lived her life with faith, compassion, forgiveness, and unconditional love, never expecting anything in return. She was a wonderful person with a heart spun from pure gold, and she will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
She is preceded in death by a son, Charles Everhart, her parents, John and Albina Degenhardt, and an infant brother, John Degenhardt.
Left to cherish her memory are her five children, Jeffery Schlittenhardt and his wife Cindy of Oklahoma City, Kayla McNeill of Oklahoma City, John Schlittenhardt of Moore, David Schlittenhardt of Chickasha, and Michael Schlittenhardt of Moore; three sisters, Judy Kreutzer of Russell, Kansas, Mary Jo Hoffman and her husband Floyd of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Donna Cooey and her husband Ralph of Longmont, Colorado; along with nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many other loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In Patricia’s memory, be kind, forgiving and compassionate towards others and always walk by faith.
