Mary Anne Mull passed away on August 26, 2022.
She was born in Great Bend, Kan., to Lloyd and Margaret Merten on April 2, 1929. She went to a one-room school near their farm by Heizer, Kan., until moving to a farm west of Great Bend. Mary Anne graduated from Great Bend High School in 1947, then attended Lindenwood College and Barton County Community College.
In 1948, she married Carles L. Mull at First Congregational United Church. They lived on a farm north of Pawnee Rock, Kan., for twenty-one years before moving to Great Bend, Kan.
Mary Anne was a member of First Congregational United Church for seventy years, where she was a devoted volunteer. She was a farm wife and a homemaker. She worked part-time for Gibson Hallmark, and the Best Western Hotel. She volunteered at the Central Kansas Medical Center gift shop for many years. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., in 2015 to be near her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mull; parents, Lloyd and Margaret Merten; one brother, and four sisters.
Mary Anne is survived by her daughter, Emily (Joe) Ferri of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Robert W. Mull of Seattle, Wash., and David L. (Sandy) Mull of Great Bend, Kan.; one grandson, Marcus Mull; two step grandsons, Mark and Justin Ferri; and four step great-grandchildren, Colin, Nora, Elizabeth and Ethan.
