Charlotte Eloise (Kopp) Kindall was born on June 26, 1944 at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, Kansas, the fourth daughter of six born to Alfred and Alice (Hadley) Kopp. She passed away in her home on October 25, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Charlotte was raised on a farm near the Kansas/Nebraska border along with her five sisters. She attended Dry Creek Country School Dist. #117 for first through eighth grade, graduating with classmates Lottie Hawk, Lonesa Wyatt and Bruce Colip. They also went to high school together and graduated in 1961.

On March 30, 1962, Charlotte was united in marriage to David Kindall of rural Norton. They made their home in Norton and were blessed with three sons, Chris, Kem and Kyle. The family soon grew to include seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Charlotte later attended Cloud County Community College and Colby Community College Outreach program to acquire an associate’s degree in applied science. She graduated in May 1993 with honors. She also attended and completed the classes of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organizational Management.

During her seven years with the Norton Chamber of Commerce, Charlotte served on many state-wide committees promoting Kansas and tourism. She was chosen Business Professional Woman of the Year, “Who’s Who” for U.S. Executives”, and received the Governor's Historical Preservation Award for her work done to refurbish the Adobe Home along with Steve Mathes and Jim Ray.

Survivors include: her husband of sixty-one years, David,their eldest son Chris and his wife Meridel and their son Gaelan, middle son Kem and his daughters McKensy Schroeder and Savanah Horton along with her husband Russhad, and their children Elaina and Noah, youngest son Kyle and his wife Mindy along with their children, granddaughter Kylee Hammond and husband Ryan and her son, Sabastian Coulter, grandsons, Coleman West and Bailey Duvall and fiancé Shasta, and their children Shelby, Dailon, Dayton and Davias.

Also surviving are her sisters Claire Eppinger, Marlene VanMatre, Carolyn Briley, and Kathy Sell, and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Alice Kopp, David’s parents Kermit and Evelyn Kindall, sister Gretel and her born sleeping daughter, brothers-in-law Gilbert Janssen, LaDon Eppinger, Jerry VanMatre, Myron Kindall and his wife Peg, sisters-in-law Peggy Kindall, Ferne Demoret and her husband Charles, nephew Derek Pfannenstiel, granddaughter Crescent (Kindall) Elliot.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Norton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2023 also at the funeral home.
