Marion “Pete” McAfee, age 86, of Hays, Kansas passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022, in Hays. He was born February 5, 1936, in Hays to Troy and Marie (Vanhole) McAfee.
Pete had worked as a mechanic with R.C. Williams and High Plains Grain Company as well as farmed for Charlie Brull. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was a US Army Veteran.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Remi, Troy Jr “Bud”, Millard, and Charles McAfee and two sisters, Mary Eakins and Diane “Diny” McAfee.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the Via Christi Chapel in Hays. A rosary service will be at 1:30 PM.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Hays with Military Honors courtesy of the Hays VFW Honor Guard.
