DIGHTON - Ina Bell Wilkerson, 85, died on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Lane County Hospital in Dighton. She was born on December 23, 1937 at Walker the daughter of Jonas and Sylvia (Cox) Froelich.

She married Raymond Lee Wilkerson on February 4, 1956 at Walker. He died on July 19, 1981.

Ina Bell attended school at Gorham and graduated from Utica High School in 1955. She was a longtime resident of Dighton and worked as a dispatcher for the Lane County Sheriff Department before working in housekeeping at Lane County Hospital. She enjoyed her flower garden, playing pranks on family and friends, and dancing.

She is survived by her three children- Janet Offutt and Mike Wilkerson, both of Dighton and Sherri Jim) Gipson of Rush Center; five grandchildren- Amber (John) Schmalzried of Sterling, Ashley (Iver) Tokoi of Abilene, Regan (Bryan) Scheib of La Crosse, Dakota Gipson of La Crosse and Dillon (Alicia) Gipson of Garden City; and 14 great-grandchildren- Scout Tokoi, Wilkerson Schmalzried, Dighton Tokoi, Garreth Schmalzried, Rayf Schmalzried, Sophie Scheib, Rhiesa Schmalzried, Cannon Tokoi, Joseph Salgado, Reed Scheib, James Gipson, Gibby Schmalzried, Avery Scheib and Ruger Gipson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and six brothers- Arthur, Edward, Elmer, Donald, Morris and Albert.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bible Fellowship Church in Dighton with Rev Darrin Hammond officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton.
