Carl E. McKinney, 88, passed away March 14, 2023, at Cedar Village, Ness City, Kansas.
He was born April 25, 1934, in Lewis, Kansas, the son of Elzia E. and Edith Guthrie McKinney. A lifetime area resident; he was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene and Wind Chimes Vocal Group, both of Larned, Kansas.
He married Marjorie Hall on July 10, 1966, in Kinsley, Kansas. She survives.
Other survivors include: son, Kenneth R. McKinney, Arlington, Kansas; daughter, Sheila McKinney, Garfield, Kansas; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Arthur, John and Gerald McKinney.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, at New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene, Larned, Kansas with Pastor Daryl Riffel presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, Kansas. Burial will be at Wayne Cemetery, Lewis, Kansas.
