Floyd Glenn Mann, age 71, died at his home in Park, Kansas on November 12, 2023. He was born on January 13, 1952 in WaKeeney, Kansas, the son of Matthew and Jeanne (Moore) Mann.
Floyd attended and graduated from Quinter High School and then attended and graduated from Colby Junior College in Colby, KS.
He met and married Michelle (Teff) Mann, and to this union four children were born – Chad, John, Mathew, and Patti. They later divorced.
Also known lovingly as Pete or Papa Pete, he never knew a stranger, always found an adventure, and lived life exactly the way he wanted to. He had a love for his dogs and truly enjoyed their companionship. A smile, a good joke, a puzzle, or a competitive card game were always a given.
Left here to cherish his memories are his children – Chad (Bridgette) of Spillville, IA, John (Erin) Mann of Calmer, IA, Mathew (Elizabeth) Mann of Grimes, IA, and Patti (Sheil) Courtney of Ridgeway, IA; grandchildren – Riley and Ella Mann, Allen, Carly, Josie, Emery, Evelyn, and Garrison Mann, Thomas Mann, and Anelise, Louis, Declan, and Irelynn Courney; siblings – Phil (Sherry) Mann, Leland (Jeanne) Mann, Karen Mann, Donna (James) Newton, and Kalo (Tammy) Mann; many numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Heath Mann, granddaughter, Teegen Courtney, nephew, Zachary Mann, and father, Mathew Mann.
Memorial services are planned for Friday, November 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Quinter, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to his church, Reformed Presbyterian Church in his memory.
