Josephine M. Jones, age 92, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Lane County Hospital in Dighton, Kansas. She was born on November 16, 1930, in Scott County, the daughter of John and Levina Whithorn Beach. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she was the owner and operator of Jo’s Ceramics for 42 years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Scott City, KansasThe CWF, the local Eagles Auxiliary, and the Rebecca Lodge. She loved children and served as a girl scout leader for many years, a ceramic 4-H leader as well as teaching ceramic classes at Scott City, Sr. Center
On December 26, 1948, she married Delbert E. Jones in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on September 27, 2019, in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include her Daughter - Lila & Larry Savolt of Scott City, Kansas, One Granddaughter - Jolene Savolt Montoya of Kansas City, Kansas, and one son-in-law - Kenny Montoya of Kansas City, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, one Brother, and one Sister.
Funeral Services will be held at Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas with pastor Rodney Hopper presiding.
In Lieu Of Flowers, memorials can be written to the First Christian Church, Scott City VIP Center or Girl Scouts in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 410 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
