Greta G. Foster, 80, passed away May 10, 2022, at Country Place Senior Living in Hoisington. She was born March 1, 1942, in Norton to Wayne and Lilly (Thiesen) Heany.

She married Gordon Brantley in June 1964 and they later divorced. She then married Gary L. Foster on August 27, 1983. He died on April 16, 2000.

In 1976, Greta and Gordon moved to Great Bend when they bought Cook & Weber Funeral Home. Greta spent 18 years as an office technology instructor at Barton Community College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and spent many years volunteering for the Barton County Fair. Greta had a very caring heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed gardening and animals. Greta especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her twins, Dr. Scott Brantley and fiancé Chandra Espinosa and Dr. Sherri Brantley all of Great Bend; a sister, Glenda Kramer and husband Fritz of Ellis; seven grandchildren, Austin Brantley (Molly), Gracie McGinnes (Brook), TeeJay Janousek (Megan), Cayton Janousek (Megan), Steele Brack, Kian Espinosa and Alaina Espinosa; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses, Gordon Brantley and Gary Foster; and siblings, Gerald Wonderlich and Gerri Carper.

There will be no services as cremation has taken place. There will be a come and go for family and friends at Scott’s house, 132 NW 60 Road, Great Bend, on Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 1 to 4 p.m.

A private family inurnment will take place at the Getty’s Cemetery in Clayton. Memorials have been designated to the Barton County Fair, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
