Cindy Joan Korbe, aged 66, passed away on August 5, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
Cindy was Born January 4, 1958, in Tribune, Kansas, the daughter of Glenn and Barbara Kuder. She graduated from Greeley County High School and Garden City Community College. Cindy was a registered nurse and worked as a director of nursing in long-term care for most of her career at Tribune, Hugoton, and Leoti. She worked as a nurse for Lifepoint Hospital in Dodge City, Kansas for the past eleven years. Cindy was most proud of her record of having one of the country’s top 100-rated nursing homes while in Leoti, Kansas.
Cindy enjoyed making Annie’s Bed Dolls with her crochet and was an avid ceramic painter. She also enjoyed raising flowers, golfing, playing the organ for residents, and her Sheltie dogs.
Cindy Married Jerry Korbe on March 26, 1988, in Tribune, Kansas. He survives.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Dodge City, Kansas, Sons, Jonathan and Justin of Dodge City, Kansas; her parents, Glenn and Barbara of Tribune; a sister, LaVon Allen of Cleveland, Oklahoma; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Melissa Lorraine.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. (Mountain Time) at the United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas with pastors Jeri Smith presiding and Nick Talbott-Dixon.
Interment will be at the Greeley County Cemetery following the service.
Public Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 11th, at the Price & Sons Funeral Home, Leoti, Kansas, and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12th at the Price and Sons Funeral Home, 322 2nd st. in Tribune, Kansas
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be given to the Wichita County Long Term Care, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the Shriners Children’s Hospital, in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 161, Leoti, KS 67861.
