Ronnie D. Cole, Jetmore

JETMORE – Ronnie D. Cole, 68, passed away October 24, 2023 at the family farm with his two sons and wife by his side.
He was born November 25, 1954 in Dodge City, KS; the son of Ralph Ora and Dorothy Elverda Rankin Cole. A lifetime area resident, he was a former teacher/farmer.
He was a member of the Jetmore Methodist Church. Ronnie loved being around children and teaching them music. He served in the United States Army from 1973 to 1977 serving overseas in Korea and was the co-founder of the Sawlog ‘N’ Strings Blue Grass Festival for fifteen years.
On March 15, 1980 he married Diane L. Taylor in Junction City, KS. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jason (Jasmine) Cole, Westwood, KS and Ryan (Jane) Cole, Buena Vista, CO; brother, Ross W. Cole, Wichita; three grandchildren, Myah, Josh and Aspen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Roma V. Kerns.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be at a later date.
