Neil Francis Geist, 70, of Euless, Texas, died December 6, 2022. He was born April 21, 1952, in Hays, Kansas, to Eugene and Lucida (Giebler) Geist. He attended St. Joseph’s Military Academy (Class of 1970) and later served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. Neil also attended Amarillo Community College (Class of 1976), where he studied Photography. He retired from International Paper, after 39 years, where he was a die mounter.
Neil is survived by his wife, Susan (Nix) and son Austin Jennings (A.J.), both of Euless, Texas, and his stepdaughter, Brooke Gutierrez of NRH, Texas. He is also survived by his siblings: Lois (Jim) Muller, Wichita, Kansas; Sue (Hank) Smyth, Southlake, Texas; Bonnie Werth, Colby, Kansas; Connie (Glenn) Neises, Overland Park, Kansas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Neil was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Jim Geist, Jeanee Volkel, Diane DeYoung, and Mary Gross.
A private family military service will be held on March 2, 2023 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
