Kenneth Stieben, 80, died August 11, 2022, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. He was born on February 5, 1942, at Ness City, Kansas, the son of George and Elizabeth (Dell) Stieben.
Mr. Stieben owned and operated his own body shop for ten years in Jetmore before going to work for Crustbuster as a painter. He also worked for Broce Broom for several years before retiring in 2017. Mr. Stieben loved riding motorcycles, telling jokes and working on and restoring old cars in his spare time.
He was a member of the American Legion Post in Dodge City.
He is survived by his companion Delores Wright of the home; one daughter Julie Stieben of Dodge City; one son Donnie Stieben and wife Terri of Jetmore; two stepchildren Joe wright and wife Jennifer of Hutchinson; Donnie Wright and companion Darci of Dodge City. He is also survived by one granddaughter Lynsey and husband Mong of Wakeeney; two great grandchildren; three step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters.
Memorial graveside service with full military rites will be held at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 10:00 AM with Dr. Shawn Fletcher presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
