Shane Bowie, 36 years 11 months and 7 days, passed away at his home in rural Sheridan County, on September 14, 2023. He was born in Oberlin, Kansas to Keith and Debra (Cressler) Bowie, on October 6, 1986.

Shane was a farmer. He worked with and helped his father. He worked with cattle, was a mechanic and had a very inventive mind. He liked to say he was an all-around farm worker.

In his spare time, he liked to hunt, collect unusual rocks, and play farm games on the computer. Shane was a member of the Hoxie Baptist Temple.

Shane is survived by his parents, Keith, and Deb Bowie of Rural Sheridan County; brother, Philip M. Bowie of Rural Sheridan County; aunts, Patricia Hansen (Lyle) of Bartley, Nebraska, Linda Bowie of Crowley, Texas, Betty Cressler of Jennings, Kansas, and Louise Cressler of Jennings, Kansas; uncles, Gary Bowie of Austin, Texas, and Dennis Bowie of Lawrence, Kansas; and lots of cousins.

He preceded in death by his grandparents and a cousin, Chris Bowie.

A funeral service is planned for Friday, September 22, 2023, 10:30 a.m., at the Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie, Kansas. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. Following the service, interment will take place in the Hoxie City Cemetery.
