Donna Lea (Wesley) Fanshier of Great Bend passed away peacefully in her home on June 4, 2024. Donna was born Oct. 24, 1931, in Great Bend, daughter of Pete and Ruby (Grizzle) Wesley. She married Joe Foelgner, Jr., in 1950, in Clayton, N.M. They later divorced. Donna wed George Harvey Fanshier June 2, 1975, in Tucumcari, N.M. He passed on Feb. 24, 2011.
Donna was a member of the Central Baptist Church and was known as the longest running member of Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed traveling and enjoying the sights. Donna was extremely talented in crafts and made gorgeous velvet roses and decorative recycled jewelry Christmas Tree pictures. She will be missed and remembered for her excellent culinary skills. She loved her family and animals deeply.
Donna is survived by son; Brent Foelgner of Great Bend; her beloved Shih Tzu, Suzie, and many nephews and nieces.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers; Jack Merryme and Verlie Merryme.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with Chaplain Jeff Johnson presiding. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend.
