Susy Diaz (Claudia Susana Diaz Herrera) 43, passed away December 9, 2023 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She was born March 23, 1980 in Guanajuato, Mexico; the daughter of Graciela Herrera. A resident of Jetmore for the last 10 years, moving from Dodge City; she worked many jobs, some of which include, National Beef, Nusser’s, and owner of Mi Molcajete restaurant.
She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City. She loved helping people and was good a cook.
Survivors include; her mother, Graciela Herrera, Jetmore; a son, Anthony Solis and daughter Mia Zayas, both of Jetmore; four brothers, Joe (Laura Sotelo) Diaz and family, and Amilcar Funes, all of St. Joseph, Missouri and Walter (Genesis) Funes and family, Greeley, Colorado, Luis Alberto Herrera, Mexico; and four sisters, Brianna (Matt) Northcutt and family, Arizona, Damariz Funes, Jetmore and Marvely Diaz, Mexico, Anayancy Herrera, Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Veronica Herrera.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Jetmore Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Durham and Reverend Juan Espinosa presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday with family present from 6-7 p.m. at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore.
