Geraldine “Geri” Royce Preston, age 81, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kansas. She was born to John and Geneva Crum Oliver on March 25, 1942, in Flagler, Colorado. Geri was a resident of the Tribune community since moving from Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1966. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church, a member of the Rebekahs - Independent Order of the Oddfellows, a 4-H project leader, a Brownie leader, and an FCE Unit member. Geri retired from the Greeley County School Food Service Department and the Dietary Department of the Greeley County Hospital.
On December 16, 1959, Geraldine married Gene Wesley Preston in Denver Colorado. He passed away on March 4, 2022.
Geri is survived by four daughters - Dee Anna & Brad Schneider of Tribune, Kansas, Synthia Preston of Garden City, Kansas, Sabra & David Dickey of Sidney, Nebraska, Pamela & Brian Schneider of Tribune, Kansas, one son - Gene Preston II of Syracuse, Kansas, her siblings - Bill Oliver of Spokane, Washington, Sheila Deucker of Christmas Valley, Oregon, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Geri is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five sisters - Betty Jones, Colleen Cooper, Ann Koenig, Donna Atkinson, Maxine Corcoran, and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2024, at the Tribune United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas with Pastor Jeri Smith presiding.

Public visitation will be on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 11:00 until 8:00 and Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Price & Sons Funeral Home, 322 2nd St., Tribune, Kansas.
Interment will be at the Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas.
