Jeannine “Jeannie” Horn, 92, died on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Lane
County Hospital in Dighton. She was born on April 21, 1930 at
Hutchinson the daughter of Ralph Hamilton & Geraldine Estelle
(Mitchell) Wilson. She married Lawrence Albert “Lefty” Horn on January
1, 1950. He died on April 16, 2002.
Jeannie graduated from Sterling High School in 1948. At the age of 16
she started working in Sterling Cafe and later J.C. Penny’s and IGA
Grocery Store. After her marriage she moved to Dighton and worked at
the SRS Office for 10 years and 18 years in the office at Lane County
Hospital. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and sang in
the choir for 25 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and being involved
with her Grandchildren.
She is survived by her Daughter- Toni Molina of Canyon, Texas, 3 Sons-
Craig Horn of Ness City, Larry Horn of Dighton and Lloyd Horn of Fort
Worth, Texas, 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Brother- Robert
Wilson of Midland, Texas , Half Sister- Mary Navarro of Lyons. She was
preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sister Donna Mae Kisling, 2
Brother- Robert A. Wilson and 1 Grand-Daughter.
Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 19, at United
Methodist Church in Dighton with Rev A.G. Turner officiating. Burial
will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon to
8:00 on Thursday at Boomhower Funeral Home.
