Lois Mae (Hansen) Ellis was born August 31st, 1948, in Norton, KS to Earl and Lenora (Robinson) Hansen. Lois passed away June 2, 2024, at the Smith County Memorial Hospital in Smith Center, KS.
She was a certified med aide for many years and worked in several different nursing homes. Lois married Leslie Ellis on June 26, 1971. She was a homemaker and the mother of four children, Lance, Luke, Lyndon and Lescinda.
Her cinnamon rolls were second to none! She was an excellent pastor’s wife, and joined Les in the ministry in Paradise, KS, Reedsport, OR, Lebanon, KS, Tribune, KS and Stockton, KS.
Lois thoroughly enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She loved planting flowers, trees and bushes and enjoyed her current home.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joe Hansen and brother-in-law Larry Bourelle.
Those left to mourn her passing are her husband Leslie of Lebanon, KS, sons Lance Jeremy of Downs, KS, Luke Jason of Hutchinson, KS and Lyndon Michael (Christine) of Schoenchen, KS, daughter Lescinda (Brandon) Shaffer of Lebanon, KS, brothers, Lee (Donna) Hansen of Hays, KS, Earl (Barb) Hansen of Norton, KS, her sister Sharon Bourelle of Stromsburg, NE, and grandchildren Macy, Peyton, Tavish, Xavier, Athen, Mary Jo, Reilly, Wyatt, Cora and a host of friends and extended relatives.
