Marvia Ann Miller (Gumescheimer)

Marvia Ann Miller, 77, of Colby, died Friday, August 16, 2024. She was born on March 2, 1947, in Ransom, KS, to Reuben and Rose (Bruntz) Gumescheimer. Marvia went to High Point Center, a one room schoolhouse, and then Bazine High School, where she was the Valedictorian. She continued her education at Friends Bible College, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies.

Marvia married Fred Miller on June 6, 1970, in Bazine, KS. They owned With Love Miller’s Photography for 35 years. Marvia was committed to being God’s servant. She made it a priority to be the “Gospel in Shoes” in Ecuador, P.N.G. and in Colby. Finally, she and Fred were called to be Pastors to Pastors in small towns and rural communities across three states, for over ten years.

Marvia was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kristin Rathbun and brother James Gumescheimer.

She is survived by her husband Fred; son Justin (Jessica) Miller, of Berryton, KS; sister Lois (Kirk) Miller, of La Crosse, KS; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
