James E. Wassenberg, 84, of Salina passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024. He was born August 20, 1939, in Beatrice, Nebraska, to Chris and Gertie Wassenberg, and was raised in Marysville.
He is survived by his wife, Dee, of the home; daughters, Renee Moritz of Hays, and Julie Wassenberg of Marquette; stepchildren, Tami Stone of Gladstone, Missouri, Matt Hertig of Lawrence, and Tara Hertig of Bennington; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and brothers, Donald Wassenberg of Marysville, Chris Wassenberg of Reno, Nevada, and David Wassenberg of Salina.
Cremation has been chosen, and services are not planned at this time.
