Julia Ann Quenzer, 72, of Colby, died Monday, June 10, 2024. She was born on October 2, 1951, in Salina, KS, to Cleo and Ivy (Thiesen) Rolland. Julia graduated from Norton High School with the class of 1970. She was united in marriage to Michael Quenzer on May 17, 1975, in Norton, KS. To this union two sons were born. Julia had a daycare, worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Barlow and was a CNA at Colby Health and Rehab. Julia was a member of the Colby 6th Street AA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Michael; sisters-in-law, Doylene Foreman and Susan Thomson and brother-in-law Elwood Thomson.
Julia is survived by her sons, Nicholas (Michelle) Quenzer and Christopher (Danielle) Quenzer; grandchildren, Carter, Michael and Miah Quenzer and Johua and Lilly Mullins; daughter-in-law Megan (Conet) Quenzer; brother Gary (Samette) Rolland; sister-in-law Patrice Chard; brother-in-law Eldon Foreman; Uncle and Aunt Dee and Barbara Biesterfeld and many more nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral Service is at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, at the Colby United Methodist Church, with burial at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in WaKeeney, KS at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Colby 6th Street AA and sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby, KS 67701.
