Carolyn Ann Haselhorst Wilklow, 83, of Aurora, Colorado, died in Westminster, Colorado, on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. The daughter of John and Marcella (Schmidtberger) Haselhorst, Russell, Ks was born in Hays on November 11, 1940.
After graduating from Russell High School in 1959, she then went to Brown Mackie Business College in Salina. Graduating from there she left for Denver to work for Household Finance. After working for them in Denver she transferred to Las Vegas.
She was a talented seamstress; worked for The Denver Dry in china and gifts; Assistant Manager of Walden Books and eventually United Natural Foods all in Aurora. She volunteered many hours at St Pius school and parish and the Food Bank of the Rockies.
On May 24, 1965, in St. Mary’s Church, she married the love of her life, Wesley Wilklow of Denver.
She loved art and classical music, reading, yard work and gardening and travel.
Her last years were spent in the assisted living in Sunrise of Westminster. Morning started with coffee and The Denver Post.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wesley, her brother-in-law Michael Haas of Hoxie and a son-in-law Kelly Miller of Aurora. She is survived by her three daughters MaryLyn (Phil) Papst of Westminster, Holly (Kelly) Miller of Aurora and Collette Lohr and one sister, Margery Haas Hoxie! Her grandchildren, Colton and Mallory Papst, Jon Miller and Emily and Roman Lohr.
Services were held April 19 at St Pius in Aurora with inurnment at St Simeon’s Aurora.
