Dexter Cramer, 80, died on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at his home in
Lane County. He was born on December 12, 1941, at Dighton the son of
Robert Duane & Mildred Marie (Pottorff) Cramer. He married Judy
Jennings on June 9, 1963, at Colby.
Dexter graduated from Healy High School in 1959 and Garden City
Community College in 1961. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1964 and
in 1966 his Master’s Degree in Industrial Arts from Colorado State
College in Greeley, Colorado. He taught and coached one year in,
LaSalle, Colorado one year Dighton and two years in Healy before
returning to the family farm and becoming a lifelong Farmer- Stockman in
Lane County. He was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Dighton.
Dexter enjoyed fishing, woodworking and was the family “fix it man” but
his greatest love was following his children and grandchildren in their
athletic and school activities. He built basketball goals and pitching
machines for his family.
He is survived by his Wife- Judy Cramer, 4 Children- Mitzi & Robert
Gardner of Douglass, Rhonda & Wes McKinney of Englewood, Dean &
Cindi Cramer of Healy and Shirley & Matt Frankenbery of Frontenac,
Sister- Kay & Guy Martin of Frederick, Colorado, 14 Grandchildren
and 8 Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Parents and
infant Brother- Delbert Dean Cramer.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Bible Fellowship Church
in Dighton with Pastor Darrin Hammond officiating. Burial will be in
Healy Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Bible Fellowship church (5th
Quarter Program) in care of Boomhower Funeral Home. Friends may call
from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday and 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday at
Boomhower Funeral Home.
