Kim Annette Woelk, 64, passed away January 3, 2024 at her home in Rozel.
She was born February 26, 1959 in Larned, the daughter of John and Frances Wells Woelk.
A longtime resident of Rozel, she ran track in High School, was a member a Pawnee County 4-H member and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Larned. Kim grew up working on the farm for her dad and neighbors, while living in California she opened a detail shop, selling sandwiches and also worked for Callaways Nursery when she later moved to Texas. Kim was in band and often played Taps; she was a devout republican and the GOP was just as important as God. She loved to travel and was a page for the senate and campaigned with Bob Dole. She was a pure, kind hearted soul full of encouragement and love.
She loved taking care of her parents, spending time with family and her cats and dogs. She enjoyed doing puzzles, cross word puzzles, watching movies, working in the garden, baking and decorating cakes.
Survivors include: parents, John and Frances Woelk; son, Jon Myles Woelk Blakely, Rozel; daughter, Allison Sue (Bradley) Woelk Blakely Myrick, Houston; Step-Son, Jerad Blakely, Nevada; Step-Daughter, Brandie Lincoln, Nevada; four sisters, Blenda Grossenbacher, Topeka, Teresa (John) Bilbrey, Mechanicburg, PA, Cyndy (Scott) Fulhage, Beloit, Serena (Barry) Steffen, Overland Park and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church, Larned with Reverend Stan Palmer presiding. Visitation will be 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary with family present from 4-6 p.m.
