Bruce W. Day, 63, died Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Hays Medical Center, Hays.
He was born April 23, 1959, at Dodge City, the son of Bob and Betty (Gaul) Day. He was a lifetime area resident and worked in the family business, Day Sandblasting, for 30 years as well as farming. Bruce enjoyed the country and had lived on the family farm northeast of Cimarron for the past 10 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days and later in life enjoyed watching wildlife from his bay window. He loved family and was always willing to help his friends.
On February 14, 2006, he married Ginger Clanton at Cimarron. She survives.
Other survivors include: his daughter, Chloe Zielke and husband Shay, Dayton, Texas; his step-son, Jamie Pedigo and wife Andrea, Salina; and grandchildren Zachary Pedigo, Madison Pedigo, Arya Zielke and Alaric due in January 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City, with David Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Monday from noon to 8:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.
