June 3, 1941 - September 14, 2023

SCOTT CITY  — Deanna Kay Tucker, age 82, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. She was born on June 3, 1941, in Scott City, Kansas the daughter of Roy David and Mildred Matheny Tucker. She has been in the community since the spring of 1994, having moved from Houston, Texas, she was a retired police dispatcher.

She was a member of Pence Community Church and of the Scott City Quilt Guild.

On August 12, 1959 she married Bill Sperry in Garden City, Kansas. 

Survivors Include her one son -David and Jenny Sperry of Rowlett, Texas, three daughters - Francine Owen of Magnolia, Texas, Patrina and Tim McGonagle of Scott City, Kansas, Deborah and Darrell Dudley Of Pinehurst, Texas, one brother - Gary and Janis Tucker of Scott City, Kansas, one sister-in-law - Mary and Robert Fulton of Las Cruces, New Mexico, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchilden. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Bill Tucker, a son-in-law - James Owen, and a granddaughter - Cassandra Dudley.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the Pence Community Church in Pence, Kansas, with Don Williams presiding.

In lieu of lowers, memorials can be written to the Scott City Quilt Guild or Hopes Closet in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, P.O. Box 553, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
