Joyce Eileen Stoner, 76, died Friday, February 16, 2024, at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born December 11, 1947, in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of Donald Edward & Marjorie (Brennaman) Morgan.
Joyce has been a lifetime resident of Garden City. She attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1965. Joyce began her working career as a dental assistant for Dr. Parson and at the time of her retirement was working as office manager for Dr. Keltner. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and she enjoyed her time doing various crafts such as ceramics, bead work, embroidery, and cross-stitch. She loved listening to music, her flower gardens and bargain hunting. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and her favorite dog “Buffy.”
On April 16, 1966, she married Richard A. Stoner in Garden City. He survives. Other survivors include three sons Kurt & wife Audrey Stoner of Luther, Oklahoma, Eric & wife Georgia Stoner of Wichita, Kansas, and Marc Stoner of Edmond, Oklahoma; a Brother Donald Morgan & his companion Louise Autry of Wentzville, Missouri; a sister Marilyn & husband Kent Seba of Garden City, Kansas; nine grandchildren Derek & wife Ashlynn Stoner, Joshua Stoner, Cole Stoner, Jack Stoner, Ethan Stoner, Kate Stoner, Morgan Stoner, Maggie Stoner, & McLain Stoner; and one great-grandchild Felicity Stoner. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter-in-law Julie Stoner.
Services will be scheduled at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to the Julie A.
