 Norman J. Leiker passed away peacefully at his home in Lubbock, TX on September 4, 2023. He was born in Hays to Edward S. and Philippa (Pfannenstiel) Leiker on March 17, 1939.

 After graduating from Hays High School, Norman joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 20 years before retiring from the military in 1978. His tours of duty included Okinawa, Japan, Germany, Wisconsin, Canada, Florida, Johnson Island in the Pacific, Hawaii, and Lubbock, TX which is where he retired. 

Following his military retirement, Norman worked security for Texas Instruments and as a medical carrier in Lubbock.

Norman married Anneliese Hofmann on June 16, 1962 in Oberfranken, Germany. 

He is survived by his wife, his son Martin, three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, all living in Texas, his brothers Glenn and Terry of Hays, and his sister Doris Wing (Dave). 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eldon and Tom, and a great-granddaughter.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held at a later date.&nbsp;&nbsp;
