Lila J. Carson, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas.  She was born on June 29, 1934, in Rush County, Kansas, the daughter of William Joseph and Edna Zella Davison Weiser.  A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1951 moving from Garden City, Kansas, she was a farmer’s wife and school bus driver.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas.

On April 30, 1951, she married Billie D. Carson in Raton, New Mexico.  He passed away on August 10, 2004, in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors include her Two Sons - James D. & Myrna Carson of Kingman, Kansas, and Charles D. Carson of Scott City, Kansas, Two Daughters - Debra A. & Shorty Lawrence of Scott City, Kansas, Linda & Jason Dunagan of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister Lana Montgomery of Wichita, Kansas, Two Sister In Laws - Darla Weiser of Garden City, Kansas, Janice Weiser of San Antonio, Texas, Thirteen Grandchildren, Thirty-One Great Grandchildren, and Thirteen Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Sister - Sylvia Spanier, and Two Brothers - Gary Weiser & Dee Weiser.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Rodney Hopper presiding.

Memorials In Lieu of Flowers can be made to the First Christian Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 553, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024, at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas, 67871.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
