Elmer Lawrence Rowe, 89, passed away on August 10, 2023, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington. He was born on July 10, 1934.
Elmer was married to Mary Ann Augustine for “47 years” before her passing over 30 years ago.
A lifetime resident of Great Bend, Elmer was a jack of all trades. He spent many years working as a dishwasher. Elmer was a member of the First Bible Baptist Church and being a “western man,” loved horses.
Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Rowe, Charles Rowe, William Rowe, and John McGuire; a daughter, Connie (Jose) Montelongo of Hoisington, Kansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; multiple siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and two sons, Ronald McGuire and William McGuire.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
Memorials have been designated to the Elmer Rowe Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
