Rosalind Jean Bundy, 87, of Brewster, died Tuesday, January 24, 2022. She was born on June 20, 1935, to Charles L. and Mary (O’Brien) Bundy. Rosalind was one of three daughters born to the couple: Marguerite, who died in infancy, Laura, born two years later, and then 16 years later Rosalind joined the family.
Rosalind attended Pleasant Valley School and
graduated from the 8th grade. She then attended McDonald High School,
graduating in 1954. She worked at a number of jobs, working for ladies
during harvest and helping when their children were born. She attended
night classes at Colby Community College. She went to work part time at a
secretarial pool and at Nickerson Farm’s in Colby. Then a job offer
came up in Brewster for Unitec Inc. for a detectors plant as supervisor
in soldering PC boards for detectors. When the plant closed and moved to
Englewood, CO she chose not to move and took an office job with S&T
Telephone Co. in Brewster and worked some at Southwestern Bell in
Colby. Then a janitorial job opportunity came up at S&T, Brewster
Post Office and Brewster Bank. Rosalind also worked at the Brewster
United Methodist Church and Strutt Insurance Company until she was 80.
In 2019, Rosalind moved to Colby Health and Rehab.
Visitation will be from 1-2:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.
Friday, January 27, 2023, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby, with burial in
the Brewster Cemetery.
