David Pilosof, 78, passed away on Tuesday, May 9 at his home in Garden City, KS.

David was born to Inez Geron and Menaham Pilosof on March 13, 1945, in Turkey. The family eventually relocated to Israel.

David moved to the United States and settled in New York City in 1969.

Three years later, he married Rochelle Friedman before launching a more than five-decade career in the taxicab industry. He purchased his own transportation company in the early 1980s,  then sold it before moving his family to Las Vegas, NV in 1987.

David began working for Yellow-Checker Star Cab Company in 1987. He remained there up until his retirement in early 2019 when he moved to Garden City, KS to live with his son, Michael and his family following the passing of his wife.

Over the next four years, David enjoyed spending time with his family, teaching his grandchildren how to drive, and taking road trips with his son. He would often be seen sitting next to Michael during radio broadcasts. He also worked a seasonal job at Garden City Community College, helping park cars during home football games.

David was preceded in death by his parents Inez Geron and Menaham Pilosof, his brother Eliezer Pilosof and his wife Rochelle Pilosof.

He is survived by his daughter Monica Rustigan, his son Michael Pilosof, his daughter-in-law Amber Pilosof, and his grandchildren Ryan Pilosof, Gavin Pilosof, Connor Pilosof, Benjamin Pilosof, and Zayne Hockenbraugh.

David will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife during a memorial service at Bunkers Memory Gardens in Las Vegas, NV.
