Clifford Harry Winters, 78, passed away on December 29, 2022, at Salina Regional Health Center. He was born September 29, 1944, in Concordia, KS to Mark and Mabel Winters. Cliff attended school in Aurora and graduated from Miltonvale in 1962.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ron, Dave and Nick, special Aunt Mildred Wren, and first wife, Veronica.
Survivors include wife Sandy, of the home; daughter Kami (Rodney) Sansom of Densmore, KS; Sons Rick (Denise) Winters of Waverly, NE; Tom (Tammy) Winters of Plainville, KS; Matt (Patti) Winters of Lincoln, KS; step-son Rick (Jan) Upshaw of Hutchinson, KS and step-daughter Lisa Upshaw of Salina, KS; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cliff enjoyed fishing, sporting events, working on clocks and woodworking. He worked as a farmhand for Diedrick Farms in Tescott, KS. He was a mechanic for Wilson Construction and Construction Rental.
In retirement he helped deliver Meals on Wheels, delivered books for the library, volunteered at the Smoky Hill Museum, Friends of the Animal Shelter, and visiting family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023, at Ryan Mortuary, with family present from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Salina, KS at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of Salina Animal Shelter.
