Dona Lee White, 71, of Colby, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023. She was born Aug. 13, 1951, in Goodland, to Richard and Ila Ardelene (Mucklow) Stegman.
She married John White on June 23, 1984, in Colby. Together they raised six children. Dona ran a day care for over 40 years before retiring in 2017 after having three major surgeries that prevented her from doing what she loved. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening, baking, making porcelain dolls and going for walks with her dogs. Dona loved going to her grandchildren’s activities and spending time with her family, especially at Christmas, her favorite holiday.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother LaVerne Stegman; son Adam Goalden; grandson, Bryce Colgan and brothers, Randy (Debbie) and Tom Stegman.
She is survived by her husband John; children, Stephen Goalden, Valerie (Mike) Brier, Leslie (John) Napolitan, Dina White and Craig White; grandchildren, Cody Gilmer, Alana Williams, Dalton (MaKayla) Colgan, Madison Napolitan and Lily Funk; great-grandchildren, Hailey Brackett and Hazel Colgan and siblings, Becky Anderson (Joe Vazquez), Terry (Mary) Leonhart and Cathy Leonhart (Kevin Davis) and sister-in-law Pam Stegman and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. Funeral Service is at 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2023, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby, with burial in Beulah Cemetery, Colby.
