Thomas ‘Tommy’ Lynn Rumford

Thomas "Tommy" Lynn Rumford, 68, passed away October 19, 2022, at Meridian Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Wichita.  He was born June 2, 1954, in Hutchinson, to Charles Floyd Rumford, Jr. and Lola Mayrea (Cook) Rumford.

Tommy was a graduate of Fairfield High School, Langdon, and Garden City Community College, Garden City.

Tommy is survived by:  his daughter, Tamara Rumford of Philip, SD; mother, Lola M. Rumford of Abbyville; brother, Bronc Rumford of Abbyville; and grandchildren, Hendrix Smith and Hadley Vander May.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Floyd Rumford, Jr.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the Abbyville Community Church, 201 W. Avenue G, Abbyville, with Pastors Dale Levering and Keith Dellenbach officiating.  Friends may sign the book from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 23, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, October 24, and Tuesday, October 25, at Elliott Mortuary.  Friends may also sign the book from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, with the family present at the Abbyville Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Abbyville Community Church, Abbyville Booster Club, or DaVita Dialysis Center of Hutchinson, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
