Dennis Raye Davidson, 79, passed away on February 13, 2024, in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on July 23, 1944, in Dodge City, Kansas. Dennis was a dedicated and hardworking individual who led a remarkable life.
Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Navy. His military associations were a significant part of his life and shaped his character.
Following his military service, Dennis owned and operated the successful locksmith company, B & D Lock and Key, in Dodge City, Kansas. He was known for his expertise in repossessing vehicles and was a respected member of the locksmith community. Dennis was also a member of the Great Plains Locksmith Association and Associated Locksmiths of America. He had a passion for his career and was admired for his professionalism and high standards.
Beyond his work, Dennis had a variety of hobbies. He loved hosting BBQs, spending time at the lake, jet skiing, and cruising on his pontoon boat. He enjoyed keeping in touch with his many friends through Facebook and being able to stay connected in each of their lives. He also had a passion for dirt track racing and served as a police auxiliary. Dennis lived life to the fullest and made the most of every moment.
Dennis will be dearly missed by his wife Denise, children Shani, D.J. (Vicki), Dustin (Stephanie), and Kayla (Matt), as well as his grandchildren Katie, Davis, Stephen, Rochelle, Braden, Shye, Rawley, Haleah, Levi, Alexis, and Zoey. He also leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren, his brother Kelly, lifelong friends Willy and Nadine Phelps, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Davidson and Gerri (Bierce) Davidson, and his sister Donna Osborn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Dennis' life well lived. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas, in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
