April 17, 1937 - June 11, 2023

Wallace County, Kansas resident Toohey “Buddy” Riley Allaman, 86, died Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Topside Manor in Goodland, Kansas. 

Buddy was born April 17, 1937, at Winona, Kansas, the son of George and Thelma (Messler) Allaman.  He was one of six children. 

He attended school in Wallace and graduated from Wallace County Community High School in 1954 in Sharon Springs.

He served in the United States Army in Korea from 1956 to 1959.

On December 28, 1958, he and Glenda Norton were married at the First Baptist Church in Leoti, Kansas. 

Buddy worked for Jaeger Implement in Leoti from 1959 until he retired in 1992.  John Deere was his whole life. 

He also loved playing dominoes and 4 point pitch, collecting antiques, and he especially loved spending time with his family and getting to see the new babies as they were added to the family. 

Preceding him in death were his wife Glenda and his parents George and Thelma, brother Mickey Allaman, brother-in-law Bill Fricks,  great-granddaughter Emma Greeson and two nephews, Greg and TJ Allaman.

Surviving family includes his children Linda (Robert) Petty of Sugar City, CO, Peggy (John) Dautel of Goodland, KS, Adam (Dawn) Allaman of Wallace, KS and Riley (Karla) Allaman of Marienthal, KS.  He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and four siblings, Helen Jean Fricks of Muldrow, OK, Jimmy (Pat) Allaman of Goodland, KS, Richard (Connie) Allaman of Goodland, KS and Sharon (Freddy) Nowak of McPherson, KS.

Memorial contributions may be designated to the Fort Wallace Museum or to the Dinas Community Church and may be left at the services or mailed to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
