Bob Michel, 79, passed away June 3, 2022, at Smith County Hospital in Smith Center. He was born June 13, 1942, in Beloit to John and Hilda (Rein) Michel. 

He was a farmer and avid antique collector.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte of the home; children R.J. Michel of Andover KS, Lee Ann Michel of Lincoln NE, Allen Schweitzer of Downs, Perry Schweitzer of Osborne, Ronda Cameron of Osborne; brothers Lawrence Michel of Downs  and Jerry Michel of Phillipsburg; sisters Betty Wolters of Portis, Sue Witham of Salina, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Downs. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 6-7:30pm at the church. 

Memorials may be given to United Methodist Church or Downs summer ball program. Domoney Funeral Home PO Box 127, 817 Morgan Ave, Downs KS 67437, is in charge of arrangements.
