Twila Lou Miller, 78, of McDonald, KS, died Saturday, May 21, 2022. She
was born on July 22, 1943, to Kenneth and Gladys (Compton) Miller, at
the family home in Thomas County, KS. She attended school in McDonald,
KS, until her parents moved to Kanorado, KS, where she continued her
schooling. After her father Kenneth passed away in 1965, Twila and her
mother moved back to McDonald, where Twila remained until she moved to
the Good Samaritan, in Atwood, KS.
Twila loved children and baby sat for several children through the
years. She had also worked at Bell and Carlson, Good Samaritan, and the
Donut Shop, all in Atwood. When her mother moved to the Good Samaritan
Center, Twila would go to the home and help with hair or work in the
kitchen.
Twila accepted the Lord as her savior at the Federated Church, in
McDonald, in the 1980’s. She attended the Federated Church and helped
with Awana’s.
Twila was preceded in death by an older sister, Leanna, at age 3 ½; her
parents, Kenneth and Gladys; two brothers, Marlyn and Gail and a sister,
Lila Runge. She leaves behind her sister Kay Winfrey, of Tillamook, OR;
brother-in-law, Howard Runge; sister-in-law, Kay Miller and 13 nieces
and nephews and their families.
A graveside service for Twila will take place at a later date. Memorials
can be made to Awana’s at the Federated Church in McDonald and sent in
