Long Island resident, Doris Hammond, passed away October 4, 2023 at the Colonial Villa Nursing Home in Alma, NE at the age of 101. &nbsp;She was born June 5, 1922 in Norton County, KS, the daughter of John and Gladys (Hall) Vincent.

Survivors include her sons Gary, Tim and Craig of Long Island and Mark of Windermere, FL; her brother Dale Vincent of Long Island; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen. &nbsp;A graveside service will be held Sat., October 14 at 3:30 p.m. in the Long Island Cemetery with Pastor Ted Stapleton officiating. &nbsp;Following the service there will be a luncheon at the Long Island Methodist Church where the family will greet friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Long Island Community Building or the Alma Fire &amp; Rescue.
