David Allen New, 70, of Jennings, KS passed away November 10, 2022, at the Norton County Hospital with his loving wife by his side. He was born September 30, 1952, in Kentucky to David William and Mary Louise (Wilson) New.
In his youth, David moved to Florida and then years later his family moved to the Clayton and Jennings area. He owned the Broken Wheel in Jennings for years and most recently he worked at Ed’s Tire and Oil in Dresden. David married Donna Simmons on May 26, 2011, in Hoxie, KS. His proudest moment was when he and Donna adopted Brextyn after years of fostering him. His world revolved around Brextyn, he was so proud to be his father. They did everything together, from watching sports and westerns to collecting and polishing rocks. In his spare time, he also enjoyed going fishing.
David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Donna; son Brextyn Chance New both of the home; daughters, Summer (Nathaniel) Natali and Megan (Shawn) Eissler all of Florida; three grandchildren; brother, Shane (Melissa) New of Jennings; sister, Shellie Franco, Clayton; his best friend, Greg Legree of North Carolina; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
The family has followed David’s wishes and have chosen cremation.
