David S. Mora, 81, of Norton, passed away April 24, 2023, with his wife by his side. He was born December 29, 1941, in Walsenburg, Colo., to Ysmel and Beatriz (Martinez) Mora.

Dave grew up in Adams City, Colo., and was a 1962 graduate of Adams City High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during Vietnam and served for two years. Dave married Sue Ahl in 1991 at the new chapel at Heritage Square in Golden, Colo., it was the first wedding held there.

He did concrete work for 23 years before he began setting ceramic tile, he did this until 2016. In his spare time, he loved hunting, fishing, playing basketball and driving around the south side of the Norton Reservoir. Dave was a member of the American Legion for 44 years and was active in the Norton Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sue of the home and daughter, Tonya (Beau) Beauprez of Watkins, Colo.

The family has chosen cremation with services to be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Norton Immanuel Lutheran Church and sent in care of Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home, 215 W.
