Ronald Duane Duncanson, 89, of Garnett, Kansas passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Richmond Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Kansas. He was born to Bruce and Pearl (Chichester) Duncanson on December 22, 1932, on the family farm in Rural Sheridan County Kansas.
Ron attended his first six years of school at a country school
and received the rest of his elementary and secondary education in the
Hoxie Schools graduating with the class 1951. In August of 1952, at the
Hoxie United Methodist Church, Ron married the love of his life Orlene
Carter. They celebrated 69 years of marriage. Ron and Orlene were
blessed with three beautiful daughters Debra, Lisa, and Patricia. They
spent the first years of marriage living in Hoxie, Kansas. They moved to
Denver and then were transferred to Minneapolis, Minnesota and finally
Dallas, Texas where they resided until they moved to Garnett, Kansas to
live with a granddaughter Mellisa Wilson. Ron and Orlene were blessed
with three beautiful daughters Debra, Lisa, and Patricia.
Most of Ron’s career was spent working inventory control and sales
for aircraft spare parts for Dresser Industries and B.F. Goodrich. Ron
and Orlene loved and enjoyed their children and grandchildren. Most of
their trips were spent traveling to see their family.
Left to mourn Ron’s passing is his loving wife Orlene (Carter)
Duncanson of Garnett, Kansas; daughters, Lisa Ryder (Jim) and Patricia
Duncanson all of Rattan, Oklahoma; grandchildren, J.R. Vaughan, Mellisa
Wilson (Galen), Tiffany Paxton (Kipp), Christina Ryder, Serena
Ryder, and Ronny Ryder; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Bruce and Pearl Duncanson;
daughter, Debra Stephens; brothers, Virgil Duncanson, and Harold
Duncanson; sisters, Mildred Lofton, Bernadine Deibert, and Arlene
Lorenz.
A graveside service will be held at the Hoxie City Cemetery on
Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 2:30 P.M. Words of comfort and caring may be
