Phillipsburg resident Charles I. “Cy” Moyer passed away in Highland, KS on Friday, April 7, 2023, at the age of 87.
He was born June 22, 1935, in Highland, KS the son of C. I. and Ruth (Corcoran) Moyer.
Cy was united in marriage to Charlotte Lee Lybarger on August 17, 1958, in Coffeyville, KS. Charlotte preceded him in death in 2001. Then on May 26, 2002, in Phillipsburg, KS he was united in marriage to Gladys V. (Hazlett) Sutton.
Survivors include his wife Gladys of Phillipsburg; sons Charles Bryant Moyer and wife Alana of Topeka, KS; Clinton Moyer and wife Lisa of Overland Park, KS; and Jaret Moyer and wife Shawna of Emporia, KS; step-daughter Jeannette Prochazka and husband Bill of Phillipsburg, KS; a sister Ruth Anna Gerald of Shawnee Mission, KS; along with 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, in the United Methodist Church, Phillipsburg, with Pastor David Manyara officiating. The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
Mr. Moyer will lie in state from noon until 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with the family receiving friends Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. for visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, Huck Boyd Foundation, or the Logan Intergenerational Family Education Center.
