Duane Reissig, retired retail manager, 81, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023, at home with his wife by his side. Duane was born in Hays, Kansas, to Herman and Ada Reissig on January 3, 1942. Duane graduated from Hays High School in 1959 and received a bachelor's degree in business from Fort Hays State University in 1964 where he was recruited from campus by the SS Kresge Company (later K-Mart) for their managerial program.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Roscoe and Dora Flickinger and George and Christina Reissig, sister-in-law Sondra Schiefelbein, niece, Courtney Brown and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Duane is survived by his wife Beverly of 54 years, son, Keith (Kay), grandchildren, Elijah, Aaron and Natasha, brother-in-law, James (Julie) Brown, niece, Cassidy (Poet) Thomas, brother-in-law, Duke (Laura) Schiefelbein, nephew, Ryan Schiefelbein, great-nephews, Keegan and Donnovan Schiefelbein, numerous cousins and a multitude of bowling buddies.
Funeral services will be held at Andover UMC on Friday, March 17, 2023, friends are welcome to visit with family at 10:30AM, services will begin at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Kansas Humane Society or a memorial of your choice.
